Predicted to take the lead as the worlds most popular camera, the Canon EOS 400D is currently positioned above the EOS 350D - the fastest selling SLR camera of all time. The EOS 400D comes with 10.1 Megapixels, Optical Zoom, Digital Zoom, Memory Card Compact Flash, LCD Size of 2.5", Canons EOS Integrated Cleaning System, High-precision 9 point AF system, Picture Style image processing parameters, DIGIC II image processor with 0.2 sec start up, Digital Photo Professional RAW processing software, Fully compatible with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses and EX-series Speedlites.

The EOS 400D comes with a resolution of 10.1 megapixels, a massive increase from the EOs 350D of only 8 megapixels. It has almost twice the size of LCD display of the 350D. The 2.5" hi-resolution LCD is the brightest in the Canon EOS range and now displays all key shooting and user interface information along with image playback. The AF system expands from 7 to 9-point, with a highly sensitive f/2.8 center point for exceptional performance in low light conditions. The EOS 400D is the first camera to incorporate the Canon EOS Integrated Cleaning System. Based on significant research into the causes of dust in D-SLR cameras, the system combats dust in three important ways: Reduce, Repel and Remove. Internal camera mechanisms are designed to minimise dust generation. The EOS 400D body cap is redesigned to prevent dust generation through wear on the cap itself.

Picture Style

EF lenses and accessories
The EOS 400D is compatible with all of the more than 60 EF and EF-S lenses and all EX Series Speedlite flash units. E-TTL II passes data such as focal length and distance information from compatible EF lenses to the Speedlites for consistently accurate flash exposures.
